Intel Front Panel I/O Connectivity Design Guide

I apologize if this subject has been covered already, but I can't seem to find anyone that has exactly the same connections. I have audio working perfectly through the rear panel, but nothing through the front panel. My motherboard manual says it uses Intel Front Panel I/O Connectivity Design Guide. The problem is, every time I read another forum or post on this issue, I see different answers and connections. Isn't there supposed to be some sort of standard, or does every motherboard maker come up with their own standard? Anyway, below are the connections on the motherboard.

Pin 1 MIC_L Pin 2 GND
Pin 3 MIC_R Pin 4 VCC5
Pin 5 Line-out_R Pin 6 MIC2_JD
Pin 7 Front to Sense Pin 8 (Key)
Pin 9 Line-out_L Pin 10 Line_JD

Motherboard: MSI P4M900M3-L

Case connections:
Mic
Mic bias
Aud_Gnd (two wires lead to this one connector)
FPOut-R
FPOut-L
RET-L
RET-R

There should be a setting in the BIOS where you set the front audio header for AC97 or HD Audio (sometimes called Azalia). Set it for AC97, and use this guide to set up the front panel. It will open in Adobe Reader, go to page 20 and 21.
