Intel Graphic media accelerator

I have a Toshiba satellite L300. The problem is that I am unable to install the intel graphic media accelerator driver since I have reinstalled the Windows XP as I have to format the laptop. Now what happened exactly was when I was installing the Intel Graphic media accelerator then in the middle by mistake I restarted the system and the installation was broken. Then I tried to remove the half installed Intel Graphic media accelerator from "add/remove programs" and again tried to install it but since then it is showing error "an unknown error has occured, the setup will exit" , I am not sure whether it is related to the incident which I have mentioned or something else. Can someone please help me?

 

Uninstall the graphics driver through ADD/Remove Programs.

Go to Toshiba support and download the chipset software for your computer.
You L300 should have another alpha numeric number after L300. Click the Download tab and select your computer and then your OS.

Update to SP3 if you have not done so.

Use DriverSweeper to uninstall any leftovers. Start the program in safe mode. You will need to install .Net Framework 3 in order to run it. Then select anything related to your intel graphics chip.
