I'm interested in buying an E6400 (intel Core 2 duo, 2Ghz) because of it's extremely good overclockability, with an Intel heatsink.

I'm just wondering, what is an Intel Heatsink, and does it come on ALL motherboards, or what?

I've never purchased a CPU before, and in the guides they never say you get one.

I know how they work. So with ALL intel CPUs you get this "Intel Heatsink" they talk about in ocing tutorials?

you'll get a heatsink if you get the retail package (ie in the fancy-pants box); OEM procs come alone

the Conroe core procs (core 2) tend to do very well on just air cooling so id see how your temps are before getting a new heatsink for overclocking

Yeah, I'm thinking of getting one of those Zalman Heatsinks with a whoppin' big fan on the top, just to be safe.

I just wanted to know if they were talking about that.

    Thanks everyone.
