intelliterm pop ups

    I'm not sure what I did (everything I usually do) nothing out of the ordinary... But now I am getting green underlined words when browsing sites that pop up with ads when i hover over it. They all say "ad by intelliterm"

    Please help.

    Well I used Tdsskiller and it found nothing wrong. Then used Malwarebytes, and found non malware items. Quarantined them, then went to control panel to check if anything downloaded by accident and found intelliterm downloaded. Not sure if it is a virus or not... but i uninstalled it and the ads seem to have gone away now. *phew*

    No I don't think it's a virus at all. These are just mouse over ads that popup when your mouse moves over various underlined keywords. Many websites, including Major Geeks, use these as a source of revenue to help offset costs of running a free website and forums like this. :)
