    Hi there

I've recently changed to Windows 10 and for the last few days I've been having intermittent problems with my mouse. I have a message pop up on saying it doesn't recognise the device. I've checked that the drivers are up to date and also followed a suggestion on google, to go into Device Manager and delete the "USB Controllers".

I've also deleted the device and reinstalled it - all to no avail.

Are you able to assist please?

    Thanks

To clarify, it says Windows doesn't recognise the device (it's a microsoft mouse) :)

That message occurs when the communication between the USB device and the PC errors or fails. Most probable causes:
Dust or dirt in either USB connector. (Clean with blow-off)
A USB3 port that is not happy with its drivers (try another USB port)
A mouse that's toast (Try it on another PC and/or in safe mode. If it doesn't work then, it is toast)

Thanks - blow-off seemed to work then my son decided to be too rough with it and broke both USB ports. Looks like it'll have to be a blue tooth mouse now. Thanks anyway.
