Intermittently Highlights Multiple Files in Window in XP

Hello all, I'm looking for information, or a resolution to this annoying problem I've been dealing with using Windows XP.

In XP, or any application which has the option to select individual files, my cursor highlights multiple files at once when i highlight one file. This happens on ocassion, but it occurs on any moment when it counts; especially in excel!

I thought there may have been a problem with a filter keys setting. But I made sure it was disabled, and it happened again. So i'm lost, help.

Any information on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks MG forums.

 

Have you accidentally turned on "Sticky Keys" in Accessories-Accessibility ?
