You guys have been very helpfull in the past,
I have not started a thread in close to a year,
    And that is good news.

    I have a 2001 gateway pc with Windows XP 2002 sp3
    20 gb maxor hd
    256mb ram

I have acquired a 120 gb maxor internal HD My question is this

Can I plug in both hard drives at the same time? the cables that currently
run between my existing HD and the motherboard have two plugs of the type
that plug into the hd. can I plug the other hd into the other plug and run the 120 gb as storage only.?

This is most likely going to at least get a few laughs.

    thanks
    Rob B.

yes you can plug it in but you need to set that extra hard drive as a slave drive. you have to change the jumpers of that hard drive.
