Internet connection for laptop on small island

    Is there anyway,I can pay for a satellite subscription for internet access on my laptop on a small island,my brother in law gets a signal on his cell phone,but I dont use one?
    Can anyone please HELP
    Im in the Philippines

    Check with the Cellular Service Providers. In South Africa they are also Internet Service Providers. They use the same infrastructure for both Internet & Cellular Services. I use a USB mobile modem on my desktop PC.

    You could use PDANet if you have an Android phone. However, some carriers will block such applications because they want to bill you a premium for Hotspot usage.
