    Ok, i've got a computer with windows xp with several user accounts; however, one of them will not connect to the internet when all of the others can. Anytime i try to load IE or Firefox, it just says it cant find the server and what not, any ideas on what might be causing this?

    Try this series from a command prompt, note the space before each of the /;

    ipconfig /flushdns

    ipconfig /release

    ipconfig /renew

    netsh winsock reset catalog

    Press enter key after each of these. Reboot after the last one.

    If this doesn't do it, can you log into this account in safe mode with networking?

    Do these user accounts all have admin privileges? Not sure if you can run these commands if not, in XP. But try.

    hrmm.. i did all of those and it still didnt work... it's weird cause all of the others still can connect. Also, it shows that skype is connecting and that the AV software is updating so it has internet access.... could it just be registry errors?

    Open IE and FF and under the File menu, be sure it is not set to work offline.

    Also make sure the browsers are NOT set to use a proxy.
