Internet connection problem with dual boot PC

OK. I've set up my PC to dual boot from either it's original Win98SE or XP. This is working fine. The connection between this PC and my other PC also works fine using either 98SE or XP. But the dual booting PC which connects directly to the internet will only see the outside world if I boot to 98SE. If I boot to XP it insists there is a network cable unplugged.

I think this may be because there are some settings which may need to be tweaked (I was hoping XP would detect the connection OK) but as I'm a noob at XP  I was hoping someone out there in MG land can help point me in the right direction. :)

OK. I've sorted it. I had to change the cards Auto Detect speed to a fixed value. :)

Glad you got it sorted out.:D
Sorry about the links. I look at that site often and that is the first time I've had a problem getting anywhere on it.
