Internet connection problems...

I am having problems with connections to some websites. I can get on a majority of any websites, but ones that seem to require any type of sign on or password (like yahoo mail, my bank, for example) I get no connection. Ive tried spyware scan with my Ad-Aware, and antivirus with AVG. Any help would be appreciated.

 

When troubleshooting to find problem, did you find you were having problems with just one type of browser (eg Internet Explorer) or with other types (eg Mozilla Fox)?

Try accessing websites with other browsers to see if you're having the same problem.

 

I downloaded Mozilla Fox to try this and it does the same "cannot find server".

 

........I also ran IE in Safe Mode and everything came up fine
