Internet Connection Splitting

Is there a way to create internet access points without creating a network?

I run a small computer repair company and would like to be able to connect clients pc's to the internet via my high speed account for updates etc without actually adding them to my network. A lot of people in this area are still on dial up so the high speed saves me time and them money but I dont want to risk any infection/damage to my equipment but when Im busy it would be nice to be able to update two or three machines at a time rather than having to do it in rotation.

 

Possibly by setting up a 2 VLAN's on a programable Cisco switch?
Hooking up a second Cable/Dsl router into the existing one and putting your clients on that one with a different IP class and subnet?
Other than that Im stumped. Hopefully someone smarter that me can help you out better.

Humm, I not sure I completely understand your Question.

I have High speed cable connection with home network of 6 PC's/printer/mutli fuction printer scanner etc. I use a router & switch.
I have a couple of extra port's on my switch, I can connect any pc to my network without networking to my existing network "understand"
You dont have to add it to your Network to access internet.

Another Option, you can download & save to CD/HDD/ or what ever, almost every single windows update, from microsoft.
You may need to know the update # ( example KB890830 )

Then you can update what ever PC your working on without accessing the internet at all
