    Greetings,

I recently had Internet connection problems. Disconnected the modem and router, shut down the computer and waited for a minute for it to recycle; then rebooted. No luck. Went to network center and found no icons in set-up connections or network adapter. Called provider and was informed problem not on their end and I should go to the local fixit shop for a new network card.

Was informed by fixit shop that it was not a network card problem but corrupt files. The tech at the repair shop uninstalled the AVG Anti-Virus, repaired the corrupt files and sent my PC back. I reinstalled AVG and everything fine. Then the problem started the same exact way with network connection and the icons.

I uninstalled AVG and tried to locate the corrupt files. Tried chkdsk, scannow, and system restore but these functions give the same message that "does not appear to be functioning correctly."[

    Thank you for your time.

  2. What operating system are you on?
Try uninstalling AVG then reinstalling your network drivers.

    CQ.
