internet disconnecting every 20 mins

Must admit, i feel quite pleased with myself
Mind you, I got kinda lucky, and the big clue was finding a thread on another forum where a guy with very similar issues mentioned about firmware for the router.

It angers me aswell though - I imagine a lot of people are like me and dont even know what 'firmware' is for example. I found the solution after 4 solid days of going through forums like this one. Lucky ive got the time and am too young to have a job! It should be much easier.

Firstly, when someone buys a router there should be a leaflet inside that tells you that if your internet connection isn't connecting properly then to check their website for the latest updates.

It's also a shame that pc's aren't clever enough to be able to be much more specific. It would have been cool if after typing some commands in - it was very obvious that the router was the problem, as opposed to maybe a setting gone wrong on the pc or a virus etc etc.

It seems like EVERYONE has to be a pc expert because things always go wrong all by themselves, and when they do, they are so hard to determine exactly what the problem is. Someone'd gonna make some brilliant software one day that makes it all very easy, and they'll be very rich indeed!

To be honest the PC design is horrible. It truly expects folks to be computer "experts". If PC's were truly the refined tool they are supposed to be they would be WAY more intuitive. Unfortunately, until a bright individual like yourself, redesigns this mess we are stuck where we are. None-the-less good jub.
