Internet Download Manager removed from Majorgeeks

They were exploiting the top downloads for months now to be number one on the list. Philipp spotted how they were doing this. Of course, since most of the top downloads refer people here, it was fairly obvious a $29.99 download manager was not a top 10 download here. My email to them to stop doing this went ignored. We do not offer software to our users from people who use shady techniques to promote themselves. Their software will not be welcome here again.

Cheers for the explanation MA, good to know, unlike many other download sites you are as usual actively keeping an eye out for the users of the site and what downloads are on offer.

Once again you demonstrate why I can feel 100% safe about sending my friends here when they are searching for that "software that will do something". I always tell them to check here before they download anything they find on the internet. If MG doesn't serve it up, it's not worth downloading.
