internet drivers

I have an older dell desk top that my kid put a copy of windows 7 on. Well she said it really slowed the cpu down and uninstalled it. She has tried to use the original XP home cd and can get on the internet to finish getting sp2 and 3 ? Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to get this going again.

I'm guessing you meant that you "can't" get to the internet for sp2 and 3.

You could try the Dell site for the network controller drivers on a working machine and move them to the Dell by jump drive or burn to a CD or something like that. All you need at the Dell site is the service tag number to get the correct drivers.
