I have had IE 7 downloaded on my computer for a little while now and most of the time it works fine but sometimes it just freezes, and you have to restart IE and start over again. I use Firefox as well but some webpages do not work with this so i have to use IE7. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but it wouldn't even let me uninstall it properly and i think that messed it up even more. Then i downloaded it again and i thought it had sorted it out but nope..still freezes. Can anyone help me.
Another thing, this has nothing to do with IE but when i go to shut down my PC i click start, turn off my computer etc then click shut down and one that little screen that comes up it always says there are updates to install so i though ok, and click shut down. It then goes to the shutting down screen and says installing updates 1 of 1. Then shuts down. The next time it did it again so i though ok another update, and shut down the computer.
But everytime i shut down my computer it does this. Is it not installing the updates correctly or are there really new updates every day.

I also have one more thing. This is not so much a problem. But when i shut down my computer, just after i have clicked tuen off computer, but before the shutting down screen appears, a end task box always comes up saying ending a program called something like caapp or something. I searched this in C: drive and it is a windows folder so i am not deleting it. I think it is something to do with the internet being used because i also have a laptop on wireless and when i have been using the internet it sometimes does it but not all the time. On the PC it always comes up. Is there a problem with my computer or do other people get this.

Sorry for such as long message. Hope someone can help me.

Check and see if it is not ccapp.exe that is shutting down.

Do you have Norton Anti-Virus or Norton Internet Security installed? That might be the program still running (ccapp.exe). It is responsible for the auto-protect and email checking facilities.

If it is a Norton issue, probably all related. Especially the "freeze ups".

Try disabling the e-mail scanner on Norton's and see if that helps any.
