Ok, I recently reformatted my gf's PC and it all went well.

Now I have this problem when viewing certain pages for example Myspace.com. It scrunches everything up and doesn't use the whole internet explorer screen. Someone help! :]

I know it's not myspace.com, I viewed it at my house and it works perfectly there.

Sorry I haven't much time to fool around with my girlfriend's PC to get back to you guys but I had the chance to try that IEFix and it still didn't work. Any other suggestions?

Also, if I use FireFox, did you delete Internet Explorer and if you did how? Give me some details on FireFox, I only have heard good reviews from it before.

You don't have to delete I.E. ....though I've removed it from my desktop ....but you might want to check the settings in I.E. ....does it happen with other pages? ....

Like paypal it happens at time and such.

If someone can help me in removing IE or tell me how they installed their FireFox with/without having IE still there.

You don't need to uninstall I.E to install firefox ....you can choose in the setup to not import anything from I.E. and set your own home page ....you'll be prompted if there are any plug ins that you might need on certain web pages ...

You say that you know it's not 'Myspace', cause your pc handles it.

Could be. But I doubt it.

Do you know how much JUNK gets through on myspace??? TONS!!! not kilobytes, not megabytes, not gigs, but Terabytes!!! That's 12 zero's-bytes. myspace is flooded with junk.

It's nothing about displaying junk though. It's being able to view the page without it all being bundled up in the middled.

For example, there are images ontop of letters, lets say having the Major Geek logo at top right on top of someones message. That's what I am trying to say, it's like a bunch up in a small area of the explorer browser when it's able to expand.

To "un-install" IE, please do the following:

    1. Open Control Panel
    2. Double-click 'Add/Remove Programs'
    3. Hit alt + w (or click 'Windows Components')
    4. Uncheck the box next to 'Internet Explorer'
    5. Press 'Next'

Windows will now "remove" internet explorer. I put this in quotes becuase it will still be on your system. The thing is, you NEED Internet Explorer, because Firefox doesn't support ActiveX, and therefore will not do windows/office updates, or online AV scanners, etc. This is a great security feature as ActiveX in the wrong hands can do alot of damage to your system, but is a double-edged sword for the reasons above (so much code is developed strictly for IE) You're best to leave it on your system, and use it only when necessary. You may want to investigate IE Tab, which will allow you to open a tab using the IE engine in firefox. This will allow you to execute all this proprietary IE code.
