When I start my computer, a message comes up, Internet Explorer has a problem and needs to close. When I click on OK, another one pops up saying , Internet Explorer has errors with explorer exe. I went to system and clicked on trouble devices, HID Non-user Input Filter (KB911) has a yellow exclamation mark next to it. Went to help and it says uninstall it and start Add New Hardware Wizard. Can't find Wizard! Iam running XP on my E-Machines Pentium 4 desk top. Explorer 7.:confused

HID stands for Human Interface Device (a mouse, say), and isn't the cause of your error in IE. Try starting IE with no Add-ons - it's in All Programs > Acessories > System Tools. Let us know whether you till have the error.

Says it is running without add-ons. I have it in safety mode.

The message is normal, but we need to test this in normal mode, not safe mode, so can you reboot and try it again?

Safe mode is the only way I can get around. There is no start menu, icons, nothing but those two error messages.

Are you saying your comp will not boot into your desktop unless you do so in Safe Mode? If so that is a rather more serious problem than an IE error message. When did this start?

I'm not sure if it was a virus or me running a program called, Advanced Windows Care to make it run better. It's been this way for two days.

Two days is really good news. Can you run system restore to a date which precedes the onset of this problem. It's in the same start menu folder as before.

Like fix it programs or within windows?

No, I mean a full scan with your resident antivirus program (which is?)

Also, if you do not have it already, download and run MalwareBytes Antimalware

That's about all I can do for you Linda. Hope it clears it, but if not try posting in the malware forum. Proper experts there ;)
