I have lately noticed some ads on my IE wont work and in pogo i cant load the game past the pop up thing.
The attachment shows how far it goes and no farther. In other sites the ad spots are the same but in some like MG the ads show.
I dont mind not seeing the ads but sure do miss my Pogo :D
I dont recall doing any tweaks that would make it do that.

The java seems to be ok with other sites I use that have java stuff.
I thought of that first thing.

I think I have narrowed the problem to my Zone Alarm settings.
I can now play one game in pogo after I did something (dont know what) in ZA but still not any others :S.
I am gonna just keep it like this so I dont screw something esle up :D

    Microsoft vs. Java question

I've had problems with IE browser that both of you, Kodo and Adrynalyne have looked at in my "Am I crying in the Wilderness" post.

I downloaded Netscape but now I'm having problems with that (that's in my "What's up with POSTING problems" post) weird...

So I looked at this thread seeing if it was similar and did the REGSVR32.EXE JSCRIPT.DLL because (although I had a FEW days of my IE browser going to all my regular webpages beautifully, now it's opening the same ones with "done with error on page")

I've done my critical updates for windows, have Spybot, adaware, McAfee...

I also went in and did what it said at http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...b;en-us;q168806 for if you think you have java problems on one web site (rather than all sites)

QUESTION: it said to uncheck the box for JIT compiler under Microsoft VM. That leaves all the boxes unchecked meaning you're not running microsoft java stuff at all, right? (strange thing for microsoft to say) and if I didn't have SUN Java how are they expecting this to fix the problem for someone????

So - I did all this, I have SUN Java as the only box checked (use Jave 2 v 1.4.2_03 for <applet> ) and nothing checked now under "Microsoft VM" and I restarted my computer but it didn't make any difference to the same old webpages that IE doesn't like to load properly.

Should I go back to the default and recheck the JIT box so that SUN Java and JIT and checked? (which is something Snakefoot had me do in one of the many steps I was to take in resolving the problem before -- but it didn't help then, but may have been part of the solution, who knows?)

Just to clarify things. I suggested that one should press the button to "Restore defaults" in case some settings had been changed to the worse.

    restore defaults

Snakefoot, I meant that as a compliment, that at the time, all those steps I took I think helped fix my problem. So now, I'm UNchecking that box and I'm not sure I should because it was one of the steps I double-checked before (since it is the default setting).
