New Sony Vaio laptop running Vista. I have been setting up a D-Link wireless router to use with my old XP desktop and the Sony. For a while I thought there was a fault with the router such as a firewall conflict but I now think there is something wrong with the copy of Internet Explorer on the laptop. Any page I try to load I get an error message:
    403 Forbidden
    You were denied access because:
Access denied by access control list
MSN Messenger works OK and I have installed Firefox by CD and that also works fine. I would like to uninstall IE and try again but it does not appear on the uninstall list. Any thoughts?:)

It's OK, I've found the problem. It was in Internet Options. It was set to use a proxy server on LAN connections. Unchecked that and I'm now cooking on gas.:cool
