   bg9208 Private First Class

   Running XP Pro SP2. 2 days ago had a problem with Google Earth, kept freezing so I un-installed it. Came to install today and it cannot connect to server. Help page says to run server check in IE. I am running Chrome at the moment and have no problems with broadband connection. I have tried to load IE but it freezes on the IE home page and it resists attempts to stop the process in Task Manager
   Any suggestions please

   support for SP2 ended on July 13th 2010.
   Download SP3 and install it. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=24
   Without SP3 installed, you are missing 2 years of updates so quite a few things might need to be fixed.
