Internet Explorer Starts Up Automatically

Hello everyone,

So a couple days ago I noticed after I put in my password and the desktop popped up, IE just loads and opens without me clicking on anything (1st time that has happened). I thought it may of been a glitch because of that Windows update with fall creator but I'm not sure, I also renewed my internet security a few days afterwards but I doubt that's the cause but I could be wrong. Everything is working fine it's just annoying having IE pop up on startup even though you may not want it to, just seeing if anyone has any thoughts on this matter.....Thanks

Hi James - open Task Manager's Startup tab and disable it.

 

Hello Earthling,

I actually went to the task manager shortly before I posted up this thread but couldn't find IE on the startup tab, but get this: yesterday I powered down and back up 2-3 times and every time IE automatically loaded. This morning IE didn't load by itself I checked again and restarted to make sure.
This is what I saw both days on the task manager startup tab as I checked again and no IE on startup tab.

Hopefully it corrected and won't start loading again by itself but we'll see....Thanks
