Recently installed a wireless router and it is supposed to be running at 100.0 Mbps, yet it is not. It is running extremely slow, what may be some causes for this and what are some options I have to get it up to the speed it should be.

    Thanks.

when you say not 100mb, you know your internet is nowhere near that fast, and that only refers to the internal network speed in your house, secondly if it should run 100base-t and its not, im assuming its running at 10mb aka 10base-t, if it is, two options, either a peice of network hardware on the network, ie a print server or really old pc can only cope with 10mb then the rest of the network slows to the lowest speed on the network, or you just need to configure the connection either in the routers web based config utility, or in the pc your checkin the speed on, lower speed is somtimes default for compatability reasons, up it if you can, bearing in mind if your broadband is 8mb and you acually get around 4-6mb, then 10mb is still more than enough unless you transfer alot of files internally or have a nas drive (network attached storage) on the network, hope this helps!:major
