Can you post a little more info about your computer, type of wireless card, computer specs? And are you using any type of security on your wireless router?

running an ipconfig to see if youre getting an IP from your router would be good place to start.
start > run > cmd type in ipconfig/all and record the ip address here. if youre getting an IP, youre in good shape.
then go tools-internet options-connections tab-LAN settings. make sure the auto detect settings checkbox is marked.
as fred said, what security are you using?
we will see where youre at from there
