I use Viddi Player for listening to online radio, here's the site: http://www.viddiradioplayer.com/

But lately I can only get BBC stations on it, no others either in here the UK or abroad, it just says "connecting" for an age then fires out an error message. It works through Real Player it would seem, certainly when I can't get a radio station, it's a Real Player error message that comes up.

Real Player itself appears to be ok on my PC as I can watch BBC News items using it and they play fine, though I don't use the stand alone player, I use the one the BBC provide.

This may or may not be relevant but I then tried to update my Windows Media Player version 9 to version 11 to use that instead, but the update didn't install properly and the installation dialog just froze, even cancelling it didn't seem to do much. When I rebooted, version 11 had installed itself but I didn't like it and anyway it doesn't have the stations I want such as Five Live, Talk Sport (UK stations) etc. Eventually, as I had cancelled the installation and it hadn't responded, then somehow mysteriously version 11 was installed and working, I became concerned about having corrupt files so I did a system restore and took my PC back to using Windows Media Player version 9.

Then things changed a bit, Viddi Player was suddenly refusing to quit out of "Connecting" to a station called Flash FM in the UK, it was stuck on it, the only way to quit was via Task Manager. I reinstalled it for the fourth time, then asked it to find BBC Radio Five Live, it couldn't. I tried BBC Radio 4 next, that was ok. Then Five Live was available again, but going back to this wretched Flash FM station jammed everything up like before.

Anyway, any advice on this bit of aggravation with the Viddi Player would be gratefully received. At present, in frustration, I've uninstalled it and unless you guys can assist, that's the way it's staying which is a pity as it's a great piece of software.
