C: or D:, I just have a lot of music and films downloaded. I can burn most of the films to DVDs to free up 20/30GB? Will that help out?

Yes, that would help! But this is all the space you have left:
    Code:
    Drive C:
    Size 55.88 GB (60,003,414,016 bytes)
Free Space 1.69 GB (1,813,905,408 bytes)
    Drive D:
    Size 47.98 GB (51,523,121,152 bytes)
Free Space 5.40 GB (5,801,385,984 bytes)

Can I delete all contents of application data? That'll free up a few GBs?

Also when I click into C: i have 2 files, one a Boot.bak file and a file just named cmldr. Are these of any purpose?

Yes, but I doubt it will free up that much space.
    Yes, leave them alone.

You may wish to post in the software forum to get additional assistance with determining what all you can get rid of.

Ok well deleted application data and now have 3.4 GB? Does that solve the issue for a while?

AVG will take up that space. You need to have at least 10% of your hard drive free.

Ok so things never really got back to 100%, so after a few days I ran the ESET scan again and it came up with 25 infected files, including the 2 it never got rid of.

Most all the files are either in the Combo quarantine folders or your system restore folders. I am not sure that eSet isn't giving you a false positive with that one file. Let's do this:

Since we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested.)
Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
    "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall

    • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /uninstall, it must be there.
    • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.

Now uncheck system restore and reboot.

    Now run this online scan:
    Using BitDefender Online Scan.

    Hi Tim,

sorry been away, tried to run this bitdefender scanner but when I go to install the add on, it says 'website cant host this activex ....' error.

    What should I do?

    Thanks
