:( Is there such a thing as internet rehab, cuz if there is, I'm gonna need it. :D I've reached the end of my contract with at&t, and we have to shrink our budget, so the the connection is at an end. Now I'll have to go to the library for internet time(I'm pretty sure MG will pass the "filter" test), so that means less for the MODS to read :D

I've got a couple more days, so I wanted to take the oppurtunity to let everyone know that it's been a blast, and I'll miss this place the most.

So, when I'm not around as much, someone else will have to take over the post's requiring :p :p :p , and

Oh, and don't worry, I'll drop in as often as possible, because after all what would MG be without my SPAM
    :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :p :D :D

thanks for the info and effort guys, but, we are dropping the whole land-line thing. We have a cell phone with unlimited services(time & disatnce) so we've decided to drop the home phone.

But, it's cool, when things get tight, ya gotta do what ya gotta do :)

Don't worry hot head I'll keep the spam and silly stuff going , or I'll try. Nobody even posts down below anymore and that's where I mostly hang or used to. Sometimes I talk to myself but I think I know everything and always get in an argument with myself that I just can't seem to win

@ Halo-- you get paid to google?? cool, if it's medical, does that make you a Doctor of googlology?

@ MikeH-- I'll get my fix, even if I have to go wi-fi and hang out at starbucks ;) I'll just bring my own coffee and sit in the parking lot :D

Does anyone know if MG gets passed the content filters most libraries and schools use? Plus, I just found out our local unemployment office has 8 computers set up purely for internet use, I'm going there for job search, so I can always jump on there

Bummer Scorcer, that means you probably won't be able to see my graphics intensive site of the Haiti Mission Trip when we get back from Haiti on or around March 25th. Hey I've got a great idea! Find a neighbor that has broadband, buy a LOT of CAT-5 cable and run it across to them (yea, that's it, steal the bandwith!!) Seriously, you will be missed. Take care friend.

  19. scorcer

    scorcer ajMro keGe

Send me an e-mail when it's ready, I've got a buddy with DSL, I'll go bum internet time from him for that.

Oh, and what's that thing called, "war driving" I think :D

lol we have wireless things now. if you wanted to steal bandwith just buy an adapter and hope ur neighbors don't have security on their routers enabled :p

Like I said earlier, there is always starbucks parking lot ;)

Not if you're in a van with tinted windows.

I had a friend with more money then…well you know…….and he used to use his cell phone, and hookup with a dial up number from home……here in Vacaville, they just opened a new library that has wireless, and you could sit in the car or even at the park next door……..i even know where the electric plug is for your tower……..wobbles

hehe. it's like what i do.
    Inside borders: t-mobile hotspot
Outside borders: unsecured linksys wireless router

being cheap, i pick the latter. besides, i can get some fresh air this way.

  25. scorcer

    scorcer ajMro keGe

I've got a buddy seeing if he can hook me up with a laptop with wifi, should be a bit less bulky than a full tower ;)

@GT-- now what would be suspicious about a long haired, bearded, middle-aged guy in a van with blacked out windows  :D

@ wobbles-- wireless at the library, cool. maybe I'll have to try to instigate something like that here, our library has 6 pc's, i think, set up for internet + 2 others in spanish for the internet, and you can schedule an hour at a time, till I get another job that'll have to do :)

  26. WobblesRArt

    WobblesRArt MajorGeek

Well I have seen folks using their own notebooks in the library, and even plugging in the power cord, and nobody saying anything about it………wobbles

Hey scorcer, wait 'til dark, get a ladder and climb the pole outside your house with the big box on it. Avoid the really high wires. Open the box and connect the extension cord you brought with you to the green wire red wire and black wire. Splice a jumper from the purple wire to the yellow wire, then tie a knot in the orange wire. Finally, cut the blue wire, repeat, the BLUE wire. If successful the bank of LEDs will flash the tune to "Mission Impossible". Climb down the ladder and enjoy your free internet. Also turn on your TV and you can watch what your neighbours are doing!

Hope to see ya back here on a regular basis soon.
