One of the easiest programs to experiment / change, your settings

    Dr TCP

    Link as follows. www.dslreports.com/front/DRTCP021.exe

but make sure you write down your ORIGINAL settings, before you start experimenting, so you can, at least, get back to where you started from.:D

Are you on dialup, broadband, or what?
What speeds are you currently getting?
    What ISP are you using?
    What are your PC specs?
Are you using XP Home, XP Pro, or what OS?
Any additional info may help MG to help you. Bazza

Unless your settings are way off, don't expect large improvements using those apps. I would check my speeds with dslreports.com and compare them to your advertised speed keeping in mind that your speed will change depending on when you test. If you're getting say half the rated speed consistantly, contact your ISP.
