Internet Very Slow

Trying to get this fixed before school starts. I am getting anywhere from 5kbs to 100kbs tops. Internet seems to work for a minute or two during startup, but quickly drops to these speeds. Router and modem are not the problem, other computers are working fine. AVG, MalwareBytes, ATF Cleaner, CCleaner, Advanced Registry Optimizer, and SuperAntispyware find nothing.

MGTools keeps telling me that almost every file "is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file." I searched the FAQ and couldn't find a fix for this (could very well be that I've been up forever trying to fix it). It also says that the "C:/MGTools/Temp/GRKflag.log exists. Deleting it!"

I know you guys don't like HJT logs, but do you want me to post one? I can post any logs in the morning. It took long enough for this to post :-D

if you are suspecting malware as the issue and wanting to run MGTools and HJT then if you have run the Read and Run Me guide then start a thread in the malware forum and attach the logs as requested as MGTools includes a HJT log and the malware experts will be able to assit you in deciphering them and checking if you have malware or not.

You could do a quick test and see if in Safe Mode with networking you speeds are ok? (F8 at boot and choose Safe Mode with Networking) and/or do a minimal startup using msconfig and disabling all startups (click Start > Run and type msconfig and hit enter then click the startup tab and disable all) and is your speed ok?

What Windows version and service pack?

What Security applications do you have installed? please name all of them.

What connection are you using wifi or ethernet?

What is your internet connection package as regards to speed paid for?

But I would run the malwar guide and post and attach logs in the malware forum, especially if other PCs are ok on your network.
