Invalid Drive Message

    I am trying to install ITunes to my laptop and I keep getting a message "Invalid Drive H:/". Can anyone help me either designate an H: drive or find it on my machine? I looked at an earlier thread and tried "Run" "List Volume" etc. with no success. My software is Windows XP 2000 Pro SP1. Thanks for the assistance.

    do you have an h drive, or possibly it is a virtual drive like deamon tools or something? If you do have an h, then you have alot of HD's, cant you install to c, or am i missing something?

    I would be happy to install to C:, but I am technically inept and don't know how to redirect the ITUNES installer to that drive.

    You can find your drives by going to control panel / admin tools / computer management / disk management. This will show you all storage devices and what drive letters are assigned.

    Tim:

    I did that. It shows that I have a C: drive and and D: drive. No mention of an H:. That's why I can't figure why ITunes is trying to install to an H: drive.

    Are you getting a box on the install that might allow you an option as to where to install?

    No. It just begins the installation and then gives the invalid drive message.

    I fixed it. I deleted the installer and re-dowloaded it, and forwhatever reason, it worked. I think all this technology is 90% know-how and 10% magic.
