Whenever I click on a link that brings me a .WAV file, it has a dialog that pops up and says the directory of the file (in the Temporary Internet Files folder) and then the sentence "Invalid Menu Handle". I can't hear the sound files then. It always does this in any site that has a link to a .WAV file. I've googled it, but found no fix to this problem.

Click on tools / internet options / advanced and scroll down to multimedia ...check that the box for play sounds in web pages is marked.

    Finally found a fix.
If anyones having the same problem, heres how to fix it:

    1. Go to Control Panel
    2. Click "Folder Options"
    3. Click on the tab "File Types"
    4. Scroll down to find the file extension that's causing problems and choose the default program to use it.

What I did, was make the default program of the extension .WAV to Windows Media Player, now whenever I click on a link that links to a .WAV sound it opens it in WMP :).
