I put some photo's on a cd last year, now when I try to retrieve them I can copy some whilst others freeze up my system and finally give me the message "cant copy image: invalid MS-DOS command;" The images are there but refuse to be copied.

    Has anyone got any ideas?

Yeh! I'll try them this arvo and let you know how I go. Hopefully I should recover and reburn the funny ones; still, it would be interesting to know why.

    Thanks,

Well! I tried all you listed plus a few other recovery prog's, but with no success. In fact one ( can't remember which) couldn't even find some of the good files.

Of the bad images, some show a thumbnail whilst others don't, Originally there were 75 images of which 40 are okay. All files were about 2 - 3 mb in size and the folder still shows a total file size of 201mb which indicates to my simple mind that there must still be some information in there.
