Iobit conflict with FF

My HD died the day after the black out. Bought a new HD and reloaded my programs. Two days ago I used my key to load Iobit Malware Fighter.

As soon as I added it , FF started to act up. It would "hang up" after I closed the browser I would try to open it again and it would say FF running. I would check the Task Manager and it did not show FF running. I would try to shut the computer down and it would get stuck. I had to do a hard close down.

After I removed Iobit MF all the problems went away.
I was having trouble with FF before but thought it was due to malware.

    Using FF 3.6.23
    Window XP Home SP 3
    Dell Inspiron 3 years old
    IE 8
    Add Ons
    McAFee site advisor
    Java 6. Console
    Yahoo Tool Bar
    Ad Block Plus

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thank you. :)

Uninstall IOBit malware fighter. (oops, I see you have done that already). There have been several threads with XP running and this program causing problems on the computer. Find something else to replace it.
You can try SpywareBlaster, which blocks sites and cookies and malwarebytes. I run both of those on my XP computers.

Thank you. Sorry I missed the threads. I really liked the program and getting the Pro Key was nice but it does have a problem with XP. Hopefully will be getting a new computer soon and giving this one to my grandson who has Autism. Does Iobit work with Windows 7?
Is SpyBlaster free? Hard to use/ set up? Thanks once again for your help! I was going through extreme withdrawal, having no computer for 3 weeks! :)

PS Cox give you McAfee Suite. I have heard it is better to use Microsoft's program, another person suggested AVG free, do you have any suggestions re a free program that is better then McAfee Suite from Cox or should I just stay with it.
    Thanks

SpywareBlaster is easy. You install and about every 3 weeks check for an update. Then after it updates, make sure you click on the enable protection for unchecked items button (it will tell you how many new entries and that you would not be fully protected).

I haven't noticed any threads about IOBit malware fighter causing any problems with Vista nor Win 7 just problems with XP.

Anyone, Is MaAfee Suite from Cox safe or is it better to use AVG or Microsofts antivirus program. I want to keep this new hard drive safe this time.
I am SpyBlaster, SAS, CC cleaner, is that a good combination?
