Iomega?

    Hi,

Made a mistake. I deleted registry keys for Iomega by accident thinking it was something else. Does this mean I have to keep my computer on forever or when I shut it the hard-drive will be messed up? Or are the Iomega keys put there from plugging and unplugging external hard-drives that I store in the closet?

    Thanks,
    Tink

IOmega makes several different products. I've got an old IOmega Predator external CDRW that still works. But the registry keys you deleted may be for drivers OR third party software that may have been installed.

The only way to really find out is to plug in any IOmega drives you have and see if they still work. If they don't, you'll know you've got to re-install drivers for them.

On my XP laptop though, all I have to do is plug the Predator into a USB port and Windows automatically installs the drivers. Then I can use my burning software to burn CDs.

Hi, ok thanks, Mdonah! I feel more relaxed to shut down my computer now. :)
