ip address change...seeking input

To eliminate going into a very long story I am going to provide you with the basis in hopes that someone here might offer some suggestions.

I recently was suspended from Ebay for shill bidding.Ebay provided me with the names of 2 of their members who were involved in the ordeal.I do not know these individuals in any way and have done NOTHING wrong.Ebay swears that the persons who illegally bid on my auctions have the same ip address as mine.I guess they are implying that I was the one who placed bids on my auctions to inflate pricing.Again, totally false!

When this first started one of the individuals listed sent me an email to my personal email address and I responded.Could this individual get my ip address and it make it appear as if the bids are coming from my computer?

Also, I have DSL and use a Linsky wireless router.Is it possible to change my ip address? How difficult is this?

If you're on DSL, power cycle your modem and router for 30 seconds meaning unplug the power and leave it unplugged for 30 seconds. Plug it back in and restart the computer. If you pay for a static IP then it's not going to change, if you do not pay for a static IP it should get a new one.

Also, if you are connected to the router you will have an internal IP address of 192.168.xxx.xxx but your actual external IP address will be the one provided from the ISP thru the modem which you can get by going here.
