IP Address Change

Momma needs some help! How in the heck do I change my IP address!? I have tried disconnecting my modem overnight, the whole ipconfig/release and renew deal and even calling my internet provider... WHY CAN'T I GET A NEW IP!? Am I stupid and can't do this... or is it possible? Thanks!!!

 

The only way to get a new public ip is to do as you have done, leave the modem unplugged assuming you have a dynamic ip. Its possible that its a sticky ip which means your modems mac address would need to change to pull a new ip though. If your reffering to a 192.168.x.x or 10.0.0.x ip thats an internal ip, which can be changed by unplugging your router for 10 minutes and then re booting should change that. Why are you trying to change your ip would be the first question i have.
