8 days ago, I was on my laptop, in the country of Colombia and as I was closing out windows' I came to a McAfee window warning that someone else was using my IP address. I closed out the window, the internet and powered down my computer. Now back in the US, when I attempt to go to Google, the browser memory often times offers me Google.com.uk google.com.au and google.com.co (Colombia). Ok, I understand Colombia coming up because I was there... but I have never been to the UK or Australia. Do international criminals steel addresses to use in IP scramblers? Have I been hacked?:confused

    Welcome to Major Geeks!
IP address change when you use your PC from different locations, so it is not really likely that what happened in Colombia is an issue. Whatever IP you had there, is not what you will have anywhere else. The iems you mentioned for different country versions of Google are probably just in your DNS cache or your browser cache. Which browser are you using?

Don't know for sure. Just be cause you were informed of a duplicate IP does not mean you were hacked. It could just be that the DHCP server you were on at that time assigned the same IP to multiple PCs. If you want to know if your PC is clean for sure then work thru the below.
