ip vs netbios name

    Has anyone ever run into a case where the normal mapping of network drives done by IP works almost everywhere but in a few places the same mapping requires insted the use of the servers "named instance"? In places where the name is needed, it is always the name, the ip will not work. In most places it is the IP. This is using the same server and same client machine
