Ipad Password

I went to purchase a new phone, it was an ipod. While there they kept asking for password and email address. Also, I was asked security questions to insure my items would be protected. I decided not to get the iphone with all the problems. Today I tried to up date my programs on my IPad and was told that my password and security questions were incorrect. I tried to straighten them out but was locked out of my ipad's password and security questions. One security question I do know with no problem but I am thinking that the second question may have been spelled wrong, that is the answer. How can I correct any of this if possible? Now I cannot use my IPad. Please advise. Thank you in advance

Without doubt the OP got confused about what an Apple phone is called.
I suspect the OP's problem - which is most definitely with a pre-existing iPad - is nothing to do with a considered but not completed purchase of an iPhone.
But the OP, who only just registered, hasn't come back yet. Until the OP returns we are in the dark. And I still believe they are better off getting helping on the forum I linked to.

 

Maybe they created a new account having lost log in details for original. But they haven't returned since they posted this, so it's academic.
