Iphone 4 message app dissapeared

My Iphone 4 turned itself off and back on and my message app was no longer in my apps. At&T did a full reset via remote access through I Tunes, however it did not help. I can see messages coming through at the top of the phone but cannot click on them to read entire message or reply to them. There is no button message button beside my contacts names either. Only me, you know! LOL!!!!
