Ipod help

I have to say that I appreciate this website and all those who help. When it comes to issues with a computer, the relief from having this community...well. thank you all.
Ok, I have a 7th generation ipod and it does not register when it is plugged in. I have tried resetting it with the dual press options. This ipod does register with other computers. USB devices work fine with my computer when plugged in. Why does not my computer recognize this device?

 

Have you tried another port, preferably one on the back of the machine, not connected to a hub?

Otherwise, I would look in device manager and see if there is a '!' on the device.
