iPod Troubles

I am having a huge problem with my Apple iPod 20gigs. My iPod was plugged into my computer, and without thinking, i pulled it out when it still had the "do not disconnect". Now, I cant access iTunes. An error comes up telling me that an error has occured, contact Apple, blah blah blah, But i still can see it in Tiger. So, I dont know what the deal is, should I reinstall iTunes, or wipe out my iPod (which i dont know how to do). Thanks

 

not exactly the same but my sony walkman NW-HD3 did kindof a similar thing and i had to re initialise the walkan to get it to be picked up by the software again sorry i can tell you how to do it on an ipod though.
