Hi

Going via one of our threads in the lounge, I mentioned slang and such (think I had Colemanguy laughing with the mental picture he had of me with a posh english accent talking all ghetto style).... do you want links or are you asking if we want links?

I would gather the you want links? so in that route.....

Care tips 1. dont drop it, could get one of those rubber surrounds to protect it.
2. dont get water on it, if you do pop it in a dry heated room
3. get a protective cover for it, I have soem iPod Socks

Performance
well not much you can do really for performance, but I would say dont fill the storage space to the max, if you are not using Bluetooth or Wifi with it turn them off to save battery, also to save battery have the screen not at full brightness.

Do let the battery run dry to a point that it will not turn then charge it to maximise the life of the battery.

Maybe get better headphones or in ear phones, I have these Bose In Ear (expensive but quality is superb) but you can find others that are cheaper and just as good, Skullcandy do some good ones.

Free apps
Apps Store has that covered, 1000s of them.

Do get iBook as it allows you to then download via your iPod the Touch Manual for your version of iPod Touch, comes in handy to have the manual.

other fav apps are A2Z Pro (a Unit Conversion app), Angry Birds Lite, Bounce On, Boxed In, Chicktionary (neat word game), Cover Orange, fring, Jewel Craft, To Dos (a todo list app), USB Disk, AccuWeather, NASA app, Free App of the Day (this one lists some of the paid apps that are free for a short period of time) and others that are unique to UK only, but their are loads of free apps and all those I mentioned are free or maybe not now, do check,

*jailbreaking not going to touch (hahaha pardon the pun) that area, thats for someone else as seen too many messed up due to JB/ing.

Forums
Well a few folk have iPod Touch's here, including me... so could ask your questions in this thread (or do a search for iPod as their has been a few threads on iPods... but start a new thread ot post your question in this one over dragging up old ones), or the Apple Forums are good for Q&A and tips.


The above is just some ideas from an iPod Touch user and have been since they came out.

*note apples linking me to the UK store so just search the US store or Amazon carry alot of apple accessories.
