I've just finished playing Far Cry and had no problems running it with everything on High/Very High, it was very smooth.

I want to buy BF 2142 but don't know whether It will be enjoyable due to my PC specs. Here they are:

    OS - Windows XP Home
    CPU - Intel Celeron 2.6Ghz
Video Card - 256mb ATI Sapphire Radeon 9200 Atlantis
    RAM - 1gb PC3200 DDR

If BF 2142 isn't worth playing with these specs then what are the best FPS games out at the moment that will run ok on my PC? Thanks!

download the demo and see how it runs. im not thinking that it will run very well at all, its pretty hardware intensive. definitely give the demo a shot first tho.

I don't think the game supports your video card, and your processor will definitely hold you back. Here's the system requirements for the game. Honesty, if you do get the game to run, it won't look stellar. I'd try downloading the demo and playing with the quality and visual settings until it's playable for you. If not, then Battlefield 1942 was the best one out of the franchise and should be playable on your machine. Check that out! :)

umm i'm not really sure what the specs are on the BF game but i do know that it won't work with ATI cards, apparently their not supported. XD.

According to the system specs I linked to in my post above, the game does support ATI Cards. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't. However, since it is a more graphically intense game, the lowest ATI Cards it supports is the 9500/9700 series. I don't know how well anything less powerful would run the game.

lol of course it supports ATI cards, that would be completely ridiculous if it didnt. Anyways, just because its not supported doesnt mean it wont work. I used to run BF2 on my old FX5200 which isnt supported. It ran fine at low settings, definitely playable but not as playable as it was meant to be.
