is it malware or a virus?

My norton firewall keeps popping up and it is saying that an unknown is trying to connect to the internet using ViewMgr.exe and it pops up every 5 minutes,I select block always and it still keeps popping up, I have windows XP, this is not related to my other problem posted in software concerning my windows 98 computer.

thanx for the info, tried that and also went through all of the scanning techniques to make sure my computer is clean, seems to be running fine for now. thank you

chas is there anyway you could look at my other post under software and help me with the problem I am having with my other computer it has windows 98, my thread is Windows Protection Error? you seem to reply quickly, anbd since my other computer is the family computer I need to get it up and running, my kids are bugging me to use my computer and I dont want to give it up, so if you could help I would appreciate it.
