Is it Malware?

I have read the Read and run me first sticky but I am unable to perform those actions. I was on the Internet this evening and everything was fine and all the sudden my IE windows started closing. I thought something was up so I immediately started to run my cleaners and scanners but I could not run any of them except for CCleaner and I couldn't use it fully...I could only run the cleaner...when checking for issues I got this message ActiveXErr: -2147194454: Out of memory.

These are some of the problems I am having:

    I was able to update Spybot S&D but when I tried to open it to run it I got this message;

Application has been changed since it was created. Since Spybot S&D does not change itself, we recommend you check your system for malware & viruses instantly!

When I tried to run XoftSpy I got this message:
Out of memory! The virus or unwanted program was not deleted!

This was followed by another message:
    Runtime error! Program: C:\ProgramFiles\Xoftspy\xoftspy.exe
This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unsual way. Please ontact the application's support team for more info.

I don't remember what I was doing when I got the following message:
    runtime error 203 at 00FC4DE5.

All of this has just happened and I am even having trouble getting online at times.

Is this Malware or is there something else wrong with my computer? And since I am unable to run my scanners and cleaners where should I go from here?

    Thanks,
    April

    Hi

Runtime errors can mean many things, from two conflicting software programs, memory errors and malware, the conflicting software issue is common, especially with security software, so do make sure you only have, the following only installed any duplicates uninstall.

    1 Antivirus
    1 Software Firewall
1 Resident live scanning Malware/Spyware scanner

What new software did you install if any before this started to happen?

If you Boot into Safe Mode can you run the scans and software ok?

Hi...I thought that I would try a system restore to see if that would work and it did! YAY! What happened is that my computer needed some updates...when I installed the updates I started having all of these problems. When I did the system restore it fixed it somewhat...IE was still acting up so I tried to install the updates again and it so far so good.

    Thank you for your help!

    MsApril
