Is it possible to get Video only from the HDMI port of Radeon HD 3650 card?

Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to output only video feed from the HDMI port of ATI Radeon 3650 512mb (without the audio).

I want use the Audio out from my computer's sound card that is hooked up to a 5.1 speaker system because I don't have a receiver.

Is there a way to do this?
btw, my motherboard with the sound card is ASUS A8R-MX/SI

My method is straight forward, I use a DVI to HDMI cable to my TV/Monitor and another cable from the sound card to my sound system. I turn the TV audio to minimum. Two different paths for information and it works perfectly.

On my laptop I usually use an HDMI for video and sound to the TV. I can plug the TV audio in to the laptop audio's mini jack. The TV allows me to pick the video and audio source.

Check your video playback software options, there may be audio path selections there. I use K-Lite mega codec pack.

 

in the ATI catalyst control panel you should be able to set primary and secondary monitors easily enough provided the tv is powered on.
I have the 3650 not with hdmi but rbg component, my tv is a second monitor/extension to my desktop.

just to clarify, I was wondering if the audio feed from the HDMI cut off the other audio outputs from my computer (such as the sound card's audio)

DOA, from what I understand from your post, HDMI audio feed doesn't cut off other audio outs in the computer.
btw, What is your graphic card?

I'm trying to find this out because I like to go for HDMI, because it can have other uses (such as hooking up a bluray player or cable box). But I want to use my 5.1 speaker system instead of the 2 speakers in the TV.
