Is it possible to give more when I am away and less when I am at the computer?

While I am not a computer geek, the help I have got so far is such that I want to contribute in the folding team. At the moment this will be my old dual pentium used as a gateway for the small home network, the printers, scanner and some light work.

But the folding either take over so much of my computer that any task make both CDUs go 100% - and any task take forever. So, I slowed down to 50% - but that is not ideal, is it?

That is one problem. The other is - I use a left-hand mouse. But after I installed the folding program, sometimes the buttons switch, so I cannot be sure whether I left-click or right-click. This is the first time I have seen this, and it started during the installation. What's going on?

You can always stop the folding task, and restart it when you are through using your computer. I killed the startup application on the folding task, and left it as an icon on my desktop, for just such an application. There are a few things folding is not compatible with, so it is a good idea anyhow.

I may be wrong, but I think folding minimizes computer use anyhow when you are doing something else. Seems to work like that on mine at least.

Interesting news on the right/left click bug! You might want to go search at http://folding.stanford.edu/ and see if it's been reported before. If not I suggest you report it yourself!

Using up 100% CPU isn't really a problem. Or rather it shouldn't be. They should be set to low priority so that any other task you run will take presedence over it. If for whatever reason it is affecting other tasks then reducing the CPU usage is fine.

Found the solution; feeling a little stupid.

It's like this. When you get new Logitec equipment, there is the installation procedure. I had imagined that a company like Logitec had installation procedures that removed the old. But, oh, no. I had three different installations, all switching the mouse buttons. Remove, restart, remove, restart, remove - and the problem is gone. Better response to keyboard + mouse input too.
