Is it too "straight forward" to ask a guy out?

I want to ask a guy if he wants to go to the movies with me on Friday, but I'm kind of afraid. What if he says no!? I don't know how to ask! Is it too "straight forward" to ask a guy out?

 

LOL. Thank you for the advice Star. I think I will ask him. Hopefully when I ask I don't make a complete idiot of myself. When I get nervous I start laughing uncontrollably, and I can't stop smiling. Oh god!

Some thing my Gran said to me when i was in my teens was "If you don`t ask you won`t get,and if they say no, move on to the next one!" Sounds cold in text but made sense at the time.
Different world nowadays,it seems the lasses are doing the asking more?
ITS HELL when you get turned down,i know been there done that and im sure there are others here that will back me up.Its all part of growing up and better to SAY what you think rather than think what you WANT to say.
Even worse is going off and stewing on being turned down! Try not to and think to your self "Ah well,at least i tried" Yes?

You know this person obviously, so try to sense how he feels about you in that* way, then you can decide better if poping the question would be appropriate or not...
When you ask him if he says no with a smile say "How about Saturday?", if he is still saying no, then forget about him....he might also be gay so don't feel too bad but I think you will be fine.
Worst case scenario, there are plenty of bachelors here at MG!

 

Guys Love being asked out , it takes the pressure off for shy guys. A few JERKS might misunderstand and think it means your "easy" but there jerks that you wouldn't want to be with in the first place.Whenever its happened to me , I have allways found it flattering,even when I was not interested.And if you get rejected, well get used to it , guys have had to deal with that for a looong time now . Wow. So I did it today. He was with a big group of people, and as I walk over there I trip. Yeah that's right I TRIP. He can't go with me this weekend though. He said probably next weekend. I still feel rejected, and like an idiot though.

...but next time you are going to trip in front of someone you like, wait till you are like a few feet away from that person, so he would have a chance to catch you! (that way you'd also know how he feels about you, if he got good reflexes, if he works out and also if he smells good or not)
